26th Week Doctor's Visit and New Pics..

We decided to forgo the nine individually mounted letters in favor or this home-made sign.

The crib is fully functional. Mattress, bumper, bed skirt, sheet, and waterproof mattress pad are all in place.
As mentioned above, we headed to Dr. Morma's today for Robin's 26th week check-up. Everything is great so far according to the doc. The belly measured at 25 cms, up 5 cms from last month-- which means she is growing! Robin is right where she should be weight-wise. Plus, Charlotte's heart beat continues to be good and strong. Jason did a good job of sitting in the corner quietly.

The Sixth Month...

We are officially in the 6th month! It seems like the last three months are going to drag, but hopefully June 2nd will be here before we know it. Robin has been feeling much better in terms of her nausea, but back and leg pain are making their grand entrance at this time. Sleeping is becoming more uncomfortable, but the snoogle purchased by good friends Matt and Betsy is a great help.
The nursery continues to evolve. Since the last pics we have added curtains, the mattress for the crib, and a new sign above the crib. Look for pics of these new additions in an upcoming post. I've found that I really enjoy working on the nursery, in fact I think I'd be pretty bored without it. We also bought a stroller system that I have spent a great deal of time putting together and taking apart- all without the directions thank you very much! Other than the rug and a chair pad, we are all set on decor. Grandma Brenda bought a nice new picture frame and we have several other frames already on display. We are now hoping for books, toys, and anything off of the registry.
Finally, a shower date has been set- APRIL 19th, 2008. It will be at the Worthington Community Center and is set to begin in the early afternoon. Mark your calendars. Many thanks to both Grandmas and Aunt Kristin for making this happen. Robin is very excited and can't wait to see everyone.
Don't forget to vote in the new poll below!

Sunday, Sunday..
An early sunday for me, up with Wyatt this A.M. He is doing well overall but I think that he is good practice for when Charlotte arrives. He doesn't sleep well right now and the pills don't seem to knock him out anymore. He seems uncomfortable and is very clingy.
The nursery is really coming together, I was able to go and get the crib yesterday and I just about have it put together. It was missing a part that I need to see if I can find at a store today. Once that is done, we just need to get the mattress. Robin bought a bumper, sheet, and skirt for it yesterday as well. Once we get one thing done for that room it seems as though we are immediatley on to the next- nesting I suppose. Once the crib is done I think we will try to get the artwork for the walls. She has plenty of clothes already, so I have been trying to look for toys and books when I go to the store.
To date we have the changing table, crib, dresser, and bookcase. The bookcase looks great and already has books in it. Once I get the crib finished I will post pictures of everything.
Well, thats enough baby talk for now, hope all is well!

Wyatt Update
Great news, Wyatt had a successful surgery and is recovering nicely at the hospital. The surgeons were able to remove the mass completely and they found that it was not affecting any of the internal organs. The incision is about 12 inches but the doctors say he is in good spirits. We get to go visit him tomorrow and will most likely bring him home friday night or saturday morning. The mass was sent to the lab for a biopsy and we will know the results next week. So keep you fingers crossed, we are still anxiously awaiting those results. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes, they mean a lot to us.
Mom and baby are well today, very active kicking day. Jason put together the changing table and dresser last night. Pictures coming soon.

Nursery Project
J doing the priming.
Two tones of green.
Big Bro' Wyatt is at the hospital, awaiting surgery tomorrow, please say a prayer for him. We miss him already. He should be home on Saturday or Sunday.
There you have it - the nursery received a new ceiling, crown molding, and fresh new paint job. Only took handyman Jason three days to paint. A new dresser and changing table have been purchased and are awaiting construction. Thanks to Grandma Brenda and Grandpa Marc, a dollhouse bookcase will be unveiled this Friday.Monday, February 4, 2008
First Post!
Here it is, the first post of Charlotte's first blog. I'm sure that by the time she is using computers, blogs will be non-existant and will have been replaced by something far superior. But for now, the world can watch her grow via this website.
What's new?
The Nursery - Jason finished painting today and it is ready for furniture! Two tones of green and a brand new ceiling with crown molding. A drastic improvement from the prior guest room.
The Belly - As expected, Robin's belly continues to grow, it is at its biggest yet today!
Thats all for now, stay tuned for pictures, new polls, and of course informative updates!
