This is how we do it...

It has been an eventful couple of weeks, so I give you the blogpost of all blogposts. This post includes pictures from Charlotte's first birthday, a visit from Uncle Joe and Aunt Leanda, Grandpa's 60th Birthday Party, and Charlotte's last swim class of the season.

A special thanks to our good friend Kathy for the first four pictures of this post. As you can see, she is a great photographer. Here Charlie looks comatose after eating her cake.

Charlotte's birthday banner hangs on the shelter house at Selby Park in Worthington.

Charlotte offers up a rare smile on this day as she enjoys her cake.

Another great picture from Kathy.

This look about sums up the way Charlotte felt with everyone staring at her. She was a little over-whelmed but enjoyed her party just the same.

Going in for the first piece of cake..

It's so good when it hits your lips!

Fill it up again!

Mom and Dad were also excited to hit the year one milestone.

The Johnson Family, including Charlotte's friend Dylan, enjoyed some pizza at the party.

Granny Rose entertains guests during the party.

Grandpa Marc hangs out with Cousin Tom and his fiance' Erin who came down to the party from god's country- Ann Arbor.

Charlotte loves to point, and her birthday was no exception as she give a shout out to the camera while in Grandma Brenda's arms.
We're having a party...
The week before her birthday, Charlotte was pleased to have a great visit with Aunt Leanda and Uncle Joe who stopped through on their way to Monterrey, CA.

Charlotte spends some quality time with her Uncle Joe.

Mom and Uncle Joe have nice smiles, but not quite as nice as Charlie's!

Brothers and Sisters.... and Baby!

Our family had a great time celebrating Grandpa Marc's 60th Birthday. We joined family and friends at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Four generations photo with Grandma Brenda and Great Grandpa Don.

2 sets of four generations gather for a photo. Left to right: Great Grandma Charlotte, Dad (who apparently couldn't bare to look), Grandpa, Grandma Brenda, and Great Grandpa Don.

Grandpa joins Charlotte in one of her favorite activities- waiving at airplanes.

Charlie and Grandpa were born only a week and 59 years apart.

Charlotte enjoyed her last Tiny Tots swim class of the season before going to Grandpa's birthday party.

One of the activities in class is practicing going under water, here Charlotte emerges from being submerged in the water. She handled being "dunked" really well.

Charlotte and mom float in the lazy river at the Worthington Recreation Center during her swim class.

Charlotte readies to jump in the water.

Charlotte chases after a ball during her swim class. She seems to love being in the water.

Charlie and Mom splash and play.

Charlotte later committed her first misdemeanor as she took that shark home with her.

As you can see it has been a busy but fun couple of weeks. Charlotte looks forward to being in her new home in three weeks. Now all thats left to do is pack!
