Beneath the blue suburban skies...

Charlotte now prefers the big girl swings in the backyard. She is growing like a weed before our eyes...and yours!

Ready to go down the slide with Mom...

Celebrating Grandma Rose's birthday this past Friday...

While she first walked a month ago, Charlotte now really has embraced her stroll and walks everywhere she wants to go. Here she is beboppin' around the back yard.

A lil' blurry with Dad on the swing...

My parents are soooo scary!

A chubby smile with Mom and Abuela Rose....

Our first dinner in our dining room at the new house...

The three of us are always sliding down the slide together...just try and keep us off of it!

Charlotte took her first ride in Grandma and Grandpa's motorhome two weeks ago when she and Dad roadtripped it to Buffalo, NY for Great Aunt Barb's 90th Birthday Party.

Charlotte and Grandpa cruise around the Schraeder's Farm and take in the sights...

Great Grandma Charlotte and her sister, Great Aunt Barb, enjoy the birthday party.

Oh come on Grandpa Al, no one says that about you as far as you know!

Charlotte got see cows for the first time on the farm...

Great Grandpa and Great Grandma loved getting to see Charlotte for the second time in three weeks!

Charlie laughing and having fun with Great Grandpa Al...

Charlotte poses with the whole gang before departing back home in the motorhome.

Charlie loved looking at the cows, here she reaches out to pet one.

Is that cow trying to give me a kiss?

Out through the woods or down by the pasture....

Them summer days...

I know, two in a row, but its been quite a summer- a great summer. Here are some pics for you, not necessarily in any order, so excuse the flow or lack there of.

Charlotte working on her name at Jean Clock Park in Benton Harbor, MI. Note Mom and Dad looking on with their shadows.
Charlie playing on the beach at Jean Clock Park...if you haven't seen this beach since they have redone it - it is worth a look.

Whistling dixie...

Grandma Rose, Mom (with Charlotte), and Great Grandma Charlotte on the South Pier in St. Joseph.

Mom and Charlotte playing in the sand. Charlotte loved the beach, especially playing in the sand. The strong waves made her not so much a fan of the lake itself.

The buy of the summer, a hand me down walker from Grandma Brenda.

Charlie playing with her second cousin William at the Paup's house in Bridgman. William graciously shared his cars with Charlie.

Charlotte, like all ladies, loved our good friend Jud.

Here is a run of family pics for you - here we are on the South Pier.

And on the Bluff at the Sunday Morning Antique Fair...

And at Silver Beach in St. Joseph...

Granny Rose loved the beach as well, especially walking on the sand!

Charlotte ordered a grape juice at Redamak's, she didn't drink very much of it.

Three of my favorite things...

Charlie and Dad walking on Silver Beach...

Charlie hanging out with Great Grandpa Al and Great Grandma Charlotte as they show her off to the neighbors- thanks so much for having us all week Grandma and Grandpa!

Charlie looking very adult-like with the glasses in her mouth as she enjoys some jazz at Ribfest in downtwn Columbus.

Charlotte stands in a giant box at the Duffy's house in Chicago. Not only was this Charlotte's first trip to the Windy City but she decided to celebrate it by taking her longest solo walk ever on the carpet of the media room. She walked all over that afternoon but has chosen to crawl since.

Charlie at Ribfest...

Charlotte walking on Silver Beach...

Charlie smiles after going for her longest walk yet.

Charlotte and Mom with Kristina, Karen, and Jillian Duffy in Chicago. Charlie enjoyed hanging with her cousins once removed and meeting Paco the Bunny.

Charlie and Mom cruising the beach in St. Joseph...

It was an eventful summer full of firsts for us. Charlie walked for the first time, started saying her first real word- ball, made her first trips to the beach and Chicago, and moved into a new house. It's back to work for us and back to Grandma's for Charlotte. We hope you had as fun a summer as we did!

Now the times are changin'..look at everything that's come and gone..

Another big post, sorry for the delay- that past month has been nothing but boxes and more boxes. I put in some new house pics at the end with more to come. If you are in the area- come by and check out the new place.

Charlotte romps around her old room one last time.

A wry smile for the camera...

Charlie plays amongst the boxes at the old house.

Charlotte stands while waiting for the shuttle to the Gahanna Jazz and Blues Festival.

Charlie and Mom enjoy a shade tree.

Dad and Charlie on Father's Day.

Charlotte hangs out by Grandma and Grandpa's "retirement home" at the campground over 4th of July.

One of my new favorite pictures... frame-worthy for sure.

Charlotte and Maizey enjoy a blanket and some Frito's at the campground.

Dad and Charlotte at the campground.

New house photos- this is Charlotte's new playroom in the basement. She likes it and we LOVE it- she can roam all over and can get into anything she wants without consequence.

Our new family room- carpeted for Charlotte to play on and a fireplace- which is new feature for us. Can't wait to try it out this fall!

The kitchen- a work in progress.

My second place pride and joy- the man's basement. This picture doesn't quite capture all the splendor, but it gives you a glimpse.
We are loving our new house and we think it will be a great place for Charlotte to grow up. We will have more pics in the next post.
